IJAN Joins Who's Who on ADL Blacklist

The International Jewish Anti-Zionist Network (IJAN) proudly stands alongside the organizations targeted by the Anti-Defamation League's (ADL) blacklist of "Anti-Israel Groups In America" -- the ADL's derogatory code words for supporters of Palestinian human rights.

Whilepresenting itself as a civil rights agency, the ADL has a long history of trying to intimidate and silence those who challenge racism and injustice.

In the 1950s, it collaborated with McCarthyite witch-hunts against trade unionists and social justice activists.

Inthe past two decades, it has participated in the surveillance of over one thousand social justice and human rights organizations, including opponents of South African apartheid, the United Farm Workers, the Vanguard Public Foundation, Labor Council/AFL-CIO, U.S. Peace Council, NAACP, MADRE, Greenpeace, and the Center for Constitutional Rights.

Itdenies genocide against Armenians in 1915 and the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians during -- and ever since -- the Nakba (Catastrophe) of 1947-1948.

It recently joined the Tea Party's racist attack on the Islamic Cultural Center in lower Manhattan, and its current campaigncoincides with FBI raids on outspoken antiwar and Palestine solidarity activists.

The ADL's latest blacklist comes against the backdrop of eroding international support for more than sixty years of Israeli occupation, ethnic cleansing and apartheid. IJAN is committed to exposing and confronting these injustices.

To that end, we will continue campaigning against the Jewish National Fund and its collaboration in the ongoing theft of Palestinian land, challenging exploitation of the Nazi Holocaust to justify such theft, and supportingthe Palestinian call for full boycott, divestment and sanctions againstIsrael.
