Across the country and, most recently, in the Twin Cities, the BDS movement has experienced aggressive efforts to silence critique of Israel and foreclose on effective organizing against zionism. Last month, divestment campaigns at University of Minnesota resulted in tremendous backlash from both university officials and state legislators. In order to better understand our opponents, how to defeat them and the importance of linking our struggles, an IJAN organizer will present to the Twin Cities community on the Business of Backlash. This report exposes the funders and financial networks behind backlash of pro-Palestinian organizing in the US, most clearly demonstrating that one thing many of our radical movements share is an opposition bankrolled by the same financiers. There will also be an opportunity to discuss how this applies to events here on the ground.
