IJAN organizers officially launched the Campus and Student Network this past September, which will be a space for connecting Jewish anti-Zionist activism across campuses, as well as sharing news, resources, and discussion.

We hope to expand the student network as a place to connect andunite Jewish anti-Zionist, anti-racist, anti-imperialiststudent activists doing Palestine solidarity organizing. The network will be aplace for building the leadership of campus organizers working onBoycott, Divestment, Sanctions campaigns, standing in defense ofacademics critical of Zionism/Israel, and expanding anti-Zionistpolitical analysis and activism for ourselves and within ourorganizations.

Similarly, the network will be a forum for Jewishanti-Zionist student activists to share news, create and distributeresources, strategize and discuss the implications of doinganti-Zionist work as Jewish students. At this point, IJAN studentorganizers are focused on making the US anti-Zionist Convening inDetroit a space to bring anti-Zionist Jewish student activists togetherto discuss and build the network into its potential, so we're intent onpublicizing the Convening to as many student activists as possible. IJAN Twin Cities members have recently published online commentaries and produced cable access shows addressing Palestinian solidarity.

In addition to several pieces in our local media about the GazaFreedom March, member Sylvia Schwarz wrote an important commentary thatappeared in the MinnPost. The piece, entitled:“Iran: the wrong nuclear threat in the Middle East?,” exposes the wayAmericans are trained to perceive threats and how out of touch thisperception is with reality.

IJAN Twin Cities member KarenRedleaf is the co-host and co-producer of a local cable access show“Our World In Depth” which has been airing locally for more than 3years. Because both of the producers are involved with Palestinesolidarity work, many shows have been devoted to educating the publicabout this issue.

Une cinquantaine d'associations européennes en solidarité avec la Palestine, particulièrement avec Gaza ces derniers temps, ont affrété des minibus et ambulances avec l’objectif de les amener à Gaza par le passage de Rafah en Egypte. Ce convoi porte le nom de "Miles of Smiles" (en français « des kilomètres de sourires »). Les premiers chargements sont arrivés à Port Saïd il y a un mois et les derniers la semaine du 12 octobre. Avec Mohamed Ben Fradj, nous représentions l’association genevoise « Droit Pour Tous ».

Le convoi est composé de 103 minibus et ambulances remplis d’équipements médicaux pour handicapés, de médicaments et de matériel scolaire. 58 containers d'à peu près 70 m3 chacun ont été nécessaires pour transporter tout ce matériel.
